本屆瓊斯盃最後一戰開打，需要大勝才能奪冠的台灣隊，目前陷入苦戰，半場打完以23：34落後。
未先發主力前鋒金蓮珠一上場就後仰、三分連發，率隊賞台灣8比0攻勢，來到5：12落後，首節打完以11：16落後。
由於台灣以67：77敗給日本富士通，而南韓以68：59勝富士通，加上今天（18日）光華隊未能擊敗日本，在積分勝負關係下，要奪冠至少得贏12分。
第二節局勢不見起色，差距不斷拉大，金蓮珠一記三分球，接著又一記中距離，台灣落後已來到15：25，李宥叡曾於李承娥切入籃下時演出漂亮煽鍋，惜未激起反撲氣燄。
台灣一度把差距縮小到6分，結果仍被南韓頻頻找到漏洞攻籃，上半場結束落後達11分之多。
