外交部長林永樂8日晚間宣布，在國安會議決議及總統馬英九指示下，取消日前對菲律賓所採取的11項制裁。

我國正式解除對菲11項制裁，雙邊關係也重回正軌。消息指出，日前被召回國的駐菲大使王樂生，已在10日晚間搭機返抵駐在國，而駐華代表白熙禮，也預計在今(11)日回台。
馬尼拉經濟文化辦事處（MECO）理事主席培瑞斯於本月8日抵台，先赴屏東小琉球向受害者洪石成家屬表達歉意，當晚再北上外交部，與部長林永樂進行1個小時會面。
最後林永樂親自召開記者會，鑒於菲律賓已就「廣大興28號」漁船案向中華民國分別以書面及行動表達善意及歉意，因此他當場宣布，取消對菲律賓的11項制裁措施，讓為期3個月的廣大興事件，有了最圓滿的結局。
外交部發言人高安今天表示，政府宣布解除對菲國制裁，王樂生和菲律賓駐華代表白熙禮在完成相關準備工作後，就可返抵駐在國。中央社報導，王樂生赴菲的時間為10日晚間，白熙禮則在今日抵台。
而在制裁取消後，我國政府所要求的，就是儘速起訴並嚴懲涉案人員，目前該案已移送檢察總署，進入菲國司法程序。
此外，我國也希望能儘快舉行下一階段的漁業會談，加強漁業合作，據了解，台菲下一階段可能就海洋資源、海上作業、海上禁止使用暴力、武力規範等議題進行討論，至於舉辦地點則在台北。
