台北市政府台北兒童月起跑，國小以下學童可免費搭貓纜。

8月初時貓空纜車一周內發生3次無預警斷電，台北市長郝龍斌13日表示，將立即向台電求償。郝龍斌並說，針對環保署放寬水庫集水區開發環評限制一事，市府也已向環保署表達反對立場。
由於貓空纜車在8月1日、6日及7日一周內發生三次無預警斷電事件，造成貓纜危險、常讓乘客被困在空中的不良印象。
郝龍斌在上午主持市政會議時表示，此事不止攸關旅客的安全，也嚴重影響到市府對於貓纜營運的信譽，他指示捷運公司收集相關資料，透過市府與台電的溝通平台，向台電表達不滿並求償。
針對環保署將修法放寬水庫集水區開發的環評限制一事，翡翠水庫管理局長劉銘龍於市政會議中也說明，翡翠水庫為第一類型水庫，若修法鬆綁一定規模以下農路開發，只要經農業主管機關同意就可免環評，恐形成無處不開路之情形。
劉銘龍表示，他已向環保署表達市府反對的立場，並獲環保署正面回應將予以重新檢討。郝龍斌也指示翡管局持續關注，並向環保署表達市府保護大臺北地區用水安全的決心。
