【短片】台鐵新電聯車　首波下月2日營運

【陳如嬌／台北報導】台鐵EMU800型通勤列電聯車(微笑號)即將投入營運！第1批2列編組、16輛次將於明年1月2月加入服務，主要行駛基隆到新竹，以及嘉義到屏東間。到明年春節前，將會有9列編組，72輛次加入營運。

台鐵局表示，EMU800型可載運1262名旅客，因是通勤列車，站位佔多數，座位只有352個，其中博愛座有88個。列車最高時速可達130公里。

台鐵指出，EMU800型通勤電聯車配合民眾休閒規劃，第1、8指定車廂提供自行車與折疊座椅共用區，折疊椅不需使用時，可停放8輛自行車，也有方便身障者使用的無障礙設施、大型多功能廁所。列車除有車門上LED的停靠站資訊外，每節車廂另增設4台液晶螢幕，博愛座椅、地板及拉環，均有標示不同色調明顯區隔，同時座椅上還有扶手方便有需要的旅客。
