在一名槍手在15日上午9點45分左右在雪梨瑞士蓮咖啡館劫持人質的近16時後，澳洲警方16日凌晨兩點多對咖啡館攻堅，與槍手激烈交火，槍手可能被擊斃，有更多人質跑出咖啡館，至少二死三重傷。

警方部署攻堅。
