中華職棒25年總冠軍戰，17日已確定兩隊先發陣容，其中Lamigo桃猿派洋投泰霸扛首戰先發，對決中信兄弟左投寇迪。

首戰將在桃園球場開打，而桃猿內野已全數售罄，外野8000座位也售出7成，屆時將有萬名球迷到場看球，泰霸笑稱，相當享受「全猿主場」，要是球迷們加油聲越大，他投得越起勁。

831洋將大限加盟桃猿的泰霸，例行賽3勝3敗，防禦率2.60，其中對戰兄弟僅1場，投6局被敲5安無失分，被問及有何戰略，泰霸僅說：「現在不能透露太多，不過某些特定打者會有弱點，我也會往這方面作攻擊。」

這是泰霸個人第4次出戰季後賽，當中包括2012年在韓職效力三星獅，當年三星獅奪下總冠軍。

總冠軍打頭陣，泰霸表示將以平常心應戰：「畢竟自己投球這麼久了，我不會太緊張，就是拿出自己的優勢對付打者。」

另一方面，兄弟派出寇迪先發，例行賽7勝2敗，防禦率2.38，對桃猿4戰拿下2勝，對戰防禦率1.65。
