水火無情，日前員林鎮四維街火警，造成江姓民眾家戶3人因嗆傷送醫，後一人不幸身亡，另一起田尾鄉許姓民眾房舍(含豬舍)火警造成嚴重財務損失案，6日由副縣長柯呈枋與社會處、勞工處同仁前往慰問關懷受災戶家屬，各發放災害救助金新台幣28萬元，及時慰問金5萬元表示關心。

柯副縣長除表達縣府關心的心意外，同時呼籲民眾水火無情，一定要留意家中用電安全與防火措施，注意家中各項易引發災害的事物，多加留意自身安危，防患未然，讓大家生活在一個安全無虞的環境中，如有任何需要協助之處，縣府將秉持為民服務態度，提供即時的協助與救助。

民眾如有意捐款給許姓民眾，可匯款至：彰化縣社會救助金專戶，帳號：台灣銀行彰化分行93372701600208，並請於匯款單上註明「指定捐款田尾鄉火災許添福先生」，匯款後請與縣府社會處社會救助科聯繫。
